Tips and tricks for installation!
Remember THINK twice, MEASURE twice & CUT once!
BashBuster's were designed to be almost GOOF PROOF.

The NEW GIII are designed with more error proof material and allows for small mistakes.
I allowed more to trim off and adjust for your custom install without having a mis-cut piece.
Allot of thought and testing went into this and it has worked perfectly so far with no problems.
I'm always here to help, I want you to be more than happy with your install.
The trim lines provided are just guides (but they do work pretty much right on) and not a mandatory trim, study the pics and decide how
YOU want to do it.
When done correctly it just falls in place, of course the mounting system you choose will always need some minor adjustments.
The rear of the BashBuster panel is just held in place by the rear pod (a pressure fit). Care must be taken as to not have a loose fit here.
A trim line is provided for the angle of the frame, a pressure fit between the frame and side pod is what you want.
The upper part of the BashBuster is normal to sit above the height of the frame. You may like to install a piece of plastic tape
or some other material to insulate you upper body paint job from friction against the lower panels.
So look at the pictures below and decide what you want to do how you want to do it. If you come up with more tips or tricks
let me know and I'll post it here.

Here are some pics for mounting .

This type of install only requires the radio box pin to be removed after trimming for the frame bolts
as the BashBuster is only mounted under the radio box tab. The retaining spring clip can be very hard to reinstall as the
fit is very tight to begin with. Once the panel is installed this way you may need to open the pin hole to allow the clip to go in easy.
Also all inside corner cuts should have a slight radius to avoid stress cracking from a straight 90 degree corner cut.

Here you see another shot of a similar mounting. If you have any plastic under the head of the frame bolts be sure to use flat washers.

The above pic shows what you can do with the new Generation III version a simple Velcro mount on the top frame rail.

The above pic shows the right side trimmed and mounted with Velcro.

Here is the right side off, showing the top and bottom Velcro mounting system. Simple and effective.

This is another option. Cut tabs and mount the panel between the upper and lower frames.
Although this is an option the plastic is not really meant to be clamped between the frames and deal with the stresses involved!!!!
Each install is semi custom and I leave the front mounting style up to you.
The difference between the 2 different styles of mounting the front determines how much has to be trimmed from the bottom of the panel
to make it flush with the bottom of the frame and mount the Velcro..

In the above picture you see the BashBuster just needs to line up with the front vertical part of the frame or be within a 1/8" to 3/16".
This assures the proper depth of the body panel held in by the rear pod. Some minor adjustment may be needed
to provide the BashBuster contour to lay properly with the upper body contour.

This pic shows an overkill of Velcro. You only need a few tabs or about an inch or two or so in the front and rear to hold them on.
The rear of the BashBuster is held in place by the stock rear pod.

The BashBuster body panels were designed to be very versatile and customizable as far as mounting goes. The choice is yours.

I really like the idea of using body post and pins here.
It really makes for a quick release and the same as the rest of the body.
